Frost* expands with acquisition of digital agency The Nest – business will become The Frost* Group with The Nest its new digital offering

The Nest will continue to operate as a separate entity, servicing both existing clients and acting as Frost’s digital offer, giving the studio complete in-house capability to provide a full digital service covering web, mobile and apps, as well as publishing for tablets.

The Nest’s team of 10 will move into Frost’s Surry Hills studio space in the coming weeks, including founder Stuart Buchanan, who will become head of digital at The Frost* Group and also sit on the company’s board. Buchanan will work closely with executive creative director Vince Frost, as well as creative director at Frost*, Anthony Donovan, to provide digital expertise for the group’s full roster of clients.

The acquisition of The Nest has come at a time when digital is ever expanding in significance and crosses over into areas that we have traditionally owned. This move will feed the success of both Frost* and The Nest, allowing both entities to capably provide a more rounded offer”.

 

Buchanan founded The Nest in 2010, offering services across digital design and development, strategy, social media campaigns, content marketing, digital publishing and video production, for a roster of clients including AMP, Sydney Festival, SBS, Art Gallery Of New South Wales, Goodman, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, Tropfest, Sydney Dance Company, MONA, NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Sydney Writers Festival and TAFE NSW. Frost* has been working closely with The Nest in an affiliate capacity for a number of years and following the acquisition by The Frost* Group, it will be “business as usual” for the digital agency and its clients.

 

Buchanan is confident the move will allow the business he founded to reach its full potential.

In March this year, The Nest was named as one of the “Top Ten Forces & Faces in Australian Design” by respected national magazine, Design Quarterly (DQ).
