12 Australian entries make the cut at shortlist stage of LIA Radio Awards judging in Las Vegas

RALPH-LIA-1.jpgThis year’s 28th London International Awards Radio jury, led by Chris Smith, Brand Creative Group Head of The Richards Group, has concluded judging in Las Vegas.

Australia was represented on the jury by Ralph van Dijk, founder of Eardrum Sydney.

In total 118 entries made it through to the Shortlist stage, including 12 from Australia. The US leads the way with 38 entries shortlisted, followed by Australia and Brazil with 12 apiece.

McCann, Melbourne has scored five on the shortlist, all for Metro Trains ‘Dumb Ways to Die’; Eardrum Australia has four, two for Breeze Washing Liquid and two for Commercial Radio Australia; The Brand Agency, Perth has two for Perth Zoo and Gatecrasher, Perth has one for Make Smoking History. (Eardrum actually directed a total of 12 of all the shortlisted entries, 10% of the total. They made the Perth zoo ads for The Brand Agency and the hotly tipped GP contender Rescue Radio campaign for Ogilvy Dubai).
