ARIAs_Voting.jpgARIA Awards entry and voting platforms have received a complete revamp this year, bringing the music industry into a new era of digital communication via Sydney entertainment digital agency, Made In Katana.

Behind the scenes Made In Katana have been busy building a fresh, streamlined and user-friendly nomination and voting system. In early 2013, ARIA decided it was time for an update to their online portal. Made In Katana went head to head with a number of digital agencies and took out the account in May. In the time since, the three step voting process has launched in phases, from Industry Nominations to Industry Voting and most recently, the Public Voting phase.

Says Meagan Loader, Triple J: “The site is beautifully designed this year – so easy to vote, clear & great to look at. Congrats.”

The system is heavily based around a strong and simplified user-experience, making the ARIA Award leadup a breeze. A contemporary user interface brings the ARIA Awards into a new era of digital integration. The platform utilised responsive design, adapting to suit all digital devices from mobile and tablets to desktops. Integration with the latest social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and SoundCloud allowed for quick and easy submissions, eliminating time consuming file uploads and download times.

Says Tim Duggan, content director at Sound Alliance: “Voting for the @ARIA_Official Awards this year is a really smooth and beautiful experience. Great work @madeinkatana on building the site.”

Made In Katana built a strong platform which has united the best of the Australian music industry in paying credit to our brightest artists. The results boast a genuine focus on the music itself, which is exactly what you want when you’re choosing from the creme of the musical crop.

Says Luke Woods, communications manager, ARIA: “Made In Katana were a pleasure to work with as they helped reinvigorate the ARIA Awards voting platforms, ensuring the local industry and music fans alike had the very best experience possible, when voting on our industry’s biggest and most prestigious Awards ceremony.”
