DB Export Gold launches ‘Fire at the Old Well’ via creative agency Colenso BBDO

dbgold.jpgDB Export has made it their mission to let nothing come between a man and a great beer via agency Colenso BBDO.

First the brand overcame the Government, then it was the scourge of wine, followed by the pressure from mans significant other, and now the problem is that men have simply become too busy for beer. Whether it’s working late, fixing the roof, attending a second cousin’s wedding – there’s always something that bumps having a beer with the boys.

So to help guys enjoy another a great beer from the DB Export family, this time Export Gold has created a highly dubious excuse to escape the more mundane moments in life: a fire at the old well.

As the biggest of the DB Export brands, Export Gold is the right beer to have this conversation. With a broad national footprint, the beer is a favourite of many kiwi guys. This campaign also marks the change to a new clear flint bottle for Export Gold.

Says DB Export marketing manager, Julia Imlah: “Following on from the successful Export 33 TVC ‘He’s drinking it for you’ which we launched earlier this year, we’re back again to bring DB Export Gold to life in time for summer. The new ‘Fire at the Old Well’ TVC is a creative tongue-in-cheek play on the hero animal genre, that’s sure to amuse and entertain”.

Says Nick Garrett, Colenso BBDO managing director: “This campaign expertly continues the momentum for DB Export’s ‘Let nothing come between a man and a great beer’ – let’s hope it helps guys get out and enjoy a few more beers this summer.”
