Says Green: “New York was a great experience and offered me some incredible opportunities. My music was featured in two spots directed by Naom Murro and then I was nominated for a CLIO but I was always thinking about bringing my new skill set back home.”

Back in Sydney, Green’s long time creative collaborator, sound designer Tone Aston was also looking around to build a studio of his own. Spurred on by co-creating the animated kids series “The Kazoops” (working title – co-creators Darren Price and Scott Langley), Tone was already preparing to have his own studio ready for when the show goes into production in 2014.

Says Aston: “It’s been awesome. The pilot has generated a ton of interest both locally and internationally and I’m really looking forward to finishing off the series in my own room, in my own studio. I really wanted to build a home for great sound design & have fun working on great jobs”

A 5 week fit out of a Chippendale warehouse saw the completion of a brand new composer suite plus post suite & presentation rooms. Little was done to change the physical appearance of the old textiles factory, which used to manufacture Scout uniforms.

Says Green: “Visually I love a mix of old world and contemporary and Rumble really reflects that. Heavy beams and exposed brick give the space a raw industrial look that you can’t fake. It’s perfect for a music studio.”

Between the two partners, Rumble has over 2 decades of experience creating soundtracks for various media and have worked on countless local and international TVC’s. Along the way they’ve won awards and had the pleasure to create music and sound for many of the countries top directors & agencies.
