The Leading Edge lures Nigel Marsh as chairman

TLE Leadership Team.jpgThe Leading Edge (TLE) today announced the appointment of well-known industry figure Nigel Marsh (near left), as Chairman.

With a career spanning over 25 years in branding, marketing and business Marsh's previous roles include, CEO of Leo Burnett and regional group CEO of Y&R Brands Australia and NZ. In his career Marsh has worked across a diverse range of clients from high profile brands such as McDonalds, Canon, Pepsi, P&G, Virgin, Mars, Fiat and Colgate, to national governments and local enterprises. Marsh is also an author of three books - Fat, Forty and Fired, Overworked and Underlaid and Fit, Fifty and Fired-Up and earlier this year launched the Sydney Skinny Charity Swim.
Says Marsh: "Since the publication of my third book and the launch of Sydney Skinny I have been getting increasingly involved back in the corporate world with a number of consulting and coaching roles. It is fabulous therefore to get this opportunity to work with Matthew and the fantastic team at The Leading Edge. This represents a wonderful opportunity to get back to my branding and marketing roots, to connect with old and new colleagues and to help businesses navigate their way through complexity in order to create value."

Marsh will join a new leadership team at TLE which will be led by Lee Naylor (MD, Australia), Chrissy Blackburn (Global Head of Strategy) and Chris Paxton (MD, UK), following the resignation of TLE's Global CEO, Andy Bateman, to take up a role with Telstra.

Says Matthew Melhuish, CEO of Enero Group, which owns TLE: "Andy's energy, enthusiasm and larger-than-life personality will be missed by clients and staff alike and we thank him for his hard work and dedication to TLE over the past three years. I have no doubt that Andy will continue to do great things and we wish him all the best for his next role. Andy leaves the business in excellent hands - Lee Naylor, Chrissy Blackburn and Chris Paxton are a proven leadership team and are all outstanding practitioners with extensive Australian and international experience. It's a real coup for TLE to have attracted someone of Nigel's talent as Chairman and we look forward to him joining the team."
