Insta-Flickr-Pin_7.jpgBondi Advertising announced today WILD ONESIE WEEK, their latest creative campaign for the World Wide Fund for Nature – Australia (WWF), to run from the 2nd to 8th June, 2014 that includes World Environment Day on June 5.

At the core of the campaign is the creation of ethically and sustainably produced WWF Onesie’s that represent endangered species: panda, orang-utan, elephant, tiger, hammerhead shark, and marine turtle.

During WILD ONESIE WEEK animal lovers, from business people to school children, will be called upon to create visual awareness of what ‘under threat’ means by dressing for a full day, or even a week, in a WWF Onesie.

Participants will be supported by a sponsorship platform that enables their individual efforts to generate funds in exchange for their Onesie efforts. These funds will directly enable WWF to continue its important work protecting threatened species.

Bondi Advertising, together with WWF, is developing the campaign strategy for this non-traditional advertising campaign. Rather than rely on mass media budgets and traditional marketing expenditure, WILD ONESIE WEEK  enrols animal lovers to create real-time awareness and sponsorship.

Says Marni Ryan, WWF’s national manager – brand, marketing and innovation: “We are delighted to bring this tremendously fun and positive idea to the Australian community. As part of our local brand positioning strategy we wanted to bring the FUN back into FUNdraising, drawing on our strength as the world leader in protecting endangered species and the places they live. As an agency Bondi Advertising have demonstrated real brand empathy, genuine passion and outstanding creative ability.”

Says Steve Muller, partner at the beach side agency: “The prospect of creating smiles at schools and workplaces across Australia, and possibly the world, while raising awareness and funds to help save endangered animals, is incredibly exciting. Obviously Onesies are in the zeitgeist and giving that real purpose is great. We look forward to seeing Hammerheads surfing at Bondi and Tigers getting the 333 Bus to the city next June.”
