GuySeb.jpgCanon has announced the appointment of acclaimed singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian as an official brand ambassador in Australia. A long-time Canon user, Sebastian will inspire and engage Australians with his creative imaging journey and demonstrate how Canon enables him to do more with what he sees in a campaign via Leo Burnett Sydney.

Says Jason McLean, director – consumer imaging, Canon Australia: “Guy is best known for his achievements in front of the lens as a recording artist, but his passion for creative expression sees him spend his personal time with a camera in his hands looking out at the world around him. In the spirit of ‘No One Sees It Like You’, Guy will give everyone a view into his imaging journey and how Canon helps him find his visual voice.”

Launching his ambassador role, from 1 November Sebastian is partnering with Canon Master and renowned portrait photographer, Graham Monro, to inspire and enable Australians to become better storytellers through a new lens campaign: Change Your Lens, Change Your Story. Combining inspiring and informative content online as well as in-store, the campaign shows the vastly different creative effects that a range of four Canon EF lenses can achieve when viewing the same situation.

Says Sebastian: “Alongside music, photography is my other passion and I’m constantly taking shots on tour and in between. I’ve always used Canon cameras and lenses so this is such a natural fit for me and a great opportunity to take my creativity to the next level. It’s been so much fun teaming up with Graham Monro on the lens campaign and I can’t wait to see what others can do with the same portrait, landscape, sports and macro lenses and their unique vision.”

Sebastian will be partnering with Canon to bring his originality to life using products from its end-to-end imaging range, including: cameras and lenses; printers and photoPICO print products; Canon Academy education courses; and online image management services.
