LauraPre.jpgThe Precinct has announced the signing of Laura Scrivano to its roster of directors.

A high-concept storyteller with a bold visual style, Scrivano is a star on the rise in the world of Australian film.

A graduate of UTS, she was awarded the prestigious European Union Film Award while completing the Director’s program at AFTRS.

Noted for her collaborative work with actors, Scrivano’s films have featured Alex Dimitriades, Daniel Henshall and James Mackay and been selected for festivals around the world, including Cannes, Budapest and Hollyshorts.

Scrivano has recently completed TVC, content and documentary work for Opera Australia, Sydney Theatre Company and Shoes of Prey.

Says Henry Motteram, executive producer of The Precinct Studios: “This is a really exciting time for both Laura and The Precinct moving forward. She’s such a fascinating director, her work is so polished and I feel that she’s only scratched the surface of her talents.”
