IMG_0422.jpgJungleboys has announced that comedy director Trevor Clarence has joined their director roster.

Clarence is a talented storyteller with a unique gift for creating characters and has been directing commercials since 2001. Early on in his career Clarence was voted Young Gun of the Year in Australia and since then has continued to win awards all over the world for his work, including Shots’ world top 10 New Director award.

Clarence has shot commercials and global campaigns for almost every major market in the world. His background as a popular international stand-up comedian and successful feature film director also adds another unique layer of experience that shows through in his work.

Clarence kicked off his relationship with Jungleboys on the latest ALDI production with BMF, Sydney.

Says Clarence: “I’m really excited about working in the Australian market with Jungleboys because I’m really attracted to the production co-ordinator there. Once when she made me coffee and I said ‘thank you’, and she said ‘no problem’, I got a vibe that she was maybe flirting with me a little. Nothing overtly obvious, but definitely worth further examination. She then went and sat at someone else’s desk, which was further away from me than her own desk, which I think was all part of her flirty little game. Also, the coffee was really good.”

Says Alex Hay, Jungleboys executive producer: “Trevor is a major asset to the Jungleboys roster. He has a reputation for producing interesting and fresh work with a unique aesthetic. Trevor is also held in very high esteem by creative teams all over the world, who want to work with Trevor again and again. We are very lucky to have him.”
