Director Kimble Rendall checks into Film Motel
Kimble Rendall has just checked into the Film Motel. Rendall’s area of expertise in the world of film and advertising is action, performance and VFX which makes him a specialised and rare director.
He’s recently completed an HCF campaign, which combines beautiful photography, performance and CGI animation and will be released soon.
Rendall trained as a film editor and moved into directing music videos, commercials and then features. Over the last ten years Rendall has been in great demand around the world as an action and visual FX director. He was second unit director on the Matrix sequels Reloaded and Revoltions and the interactive game Enter The Matrix, I Robot, Casanova, Ghost Rider, Underworld, Knowing and Killer Elite.
His feature film Bait 3D was Australia’s most commercially successful film in 2012. It premiered at the Venice Film Festival and opened at #1 in China breaking all records there for an independent film.
He has won all major awards in advertising including the Cannes Lion and he was admitted into music’s Aria Hall of Fame in 2007.
