ppoll.jpgAn innovative new ‘Pulse Poll’ launched today by McNair Ingenuity Research, one of Australia’s longest standing and most trusted marketing and social research firms for over 80 years, is proving a critical tool for crisis management and best practise techniques.

The new Pulse Poll delivers same day research results within an 8 hour window, making it ideal for highly reactive crisis situations such as product recalls, scandals and policy announcements where consumer sentiment needs to be quickly and accurately gauged.

The new Pulse Poll created by McNair Ingenuity Research uniquely uses Smartphone technology to quickly and effectively gain a response from over 1,000 opt-in members by text message. Each member is screened to ensure relevance and can be defined by location, age and gender. Participants simply answer one or two multiple choice questions and are constantly reminded to participate until they have done so.

Throughout the survey process the data is tracked to ensure it is ready for delivery and weighted to the population of Australia, according to the ABS census data.

Says Matt Balogh, managing consultant at McNair Ingenuity Research: “We established the Pulse Poll in response to a growing demand and gap in the marketplace for immediate, accurate and high response research results.  It mirrors the growing popularity and consumption of mobile technology, offering an exciting new spectrum of research opportunities for clients to quickly gauge consumer sentiment and determine how best to act in a crisis situation.”

The Pulse Poll adds to McNair Ingenuity Research’s full spectrum of integrated communication channels including phone, online, print and face-to-face’ and is priced from as little as $8,000 per survey.
