pringlesss.jpgAspiring Australian wannabes, jugglers, dancers, ping pong enthusiasts and circus clowns have been invited to perform tricks for snack brand Pringles’ Earn Your Pringles own dedicated virtual-meets-real-world game show in various Sydney locations this month via Present Company.

Pringles invited fans to front up and strut their stuff in a first ever live, digitally driven sampling campaign, adjudicated and directed by the brand’s national Facebook community.

In a collision of edible, unexpected fun, Pringles lovers performed various challenges to ‘earn’ cans of Pringles on specially constructed stages, watched by both a live and online audience. The Facebook community observed these proceedings via a dedicated web cam, setting new challenges for participants. They also watched competitors perform their challenge and voted on how many cans of Pringles they deserved. Brave candidates were awarded between 1 and 5 cans of the Pringles dependent on their prowess, available in Original, Salt & Vinegar, Sour Cream & Onion, Honey Mustard, BBQ, Xtreme Buffalo Wings, Cheddar Cheese and Hot & Spicy.

Vying for the opportunity to pop n’ lock until they can’t stop, entrants were nominated one of the tasks below by the voting power of the Pringles Facebook community:

– Juggling Pringles cans

–  Dance along with Mr P

–  Pring pong: bounce as many balls as they can into a Pringles can

–  Balance a Pringles can on their head

–  Create the tallest stack of Pringles cans possible

Earn Your Pringles stages and installations were stationed at Warringah Mall, Bondi Junction Westfield and Penrith Plaza.

The campaign created an immense footprint in the digital space with 37,256 minutes (620 hours) of live stream viewed. Content from the campaign has reached 11,253,262 Australians….and counting.

With Australian and international TV talent competitions at an all time high, the branded initiative aims to fuse consumers’ latent love of unpredictable performance based fun with the inherent power of social media. Straying away from the stock standard celebrity panel format, Pringles’ game show with a difference pushes consumers to the forefront, giving them a chance to participate from their home computers and offices.
