RadioRentals.jpgCreative and digital agency Rysen has been designing and developing an innovative retail website for iconic rental company Radio Rentals (www.radio-rentals.com.au) that was open for business last month following a successful soft launch.

Says Ryuji Uematsu, managing director of Rysen: “Radio Rentals approached us to help them build a scalable online platform that works together with their retail network and rental revenue. It was important that we helped them to deliver even better value for their customers through a more holistic brand experience and online offering.”

Radio Rentals is considered an iconic Australian company first opening with a single shop in Market Street Sydney in 1937 and growing into a leading household rental company with over 85 stores and 500+ employees nationally.

Says Gillian Watson, national marketing manager, Radio Rentals: “Radio Rentals are market leaders in the rental and rent-to-own industry. We needed to partner with a creative agency that understands and respects not only our business but also our customers. Rysen was that agency.  We enjoy working with them and are very pleased with the website they have delivered.”

Says Ryuji: “We have grown our experience in working with many iconic Australian and international retail brands over the last few years and we were honored to be working with a historic brand like Radio Rentals.”

The new Radio Rentals website embraces current and future web technologies such as HTML5 and incorporates a responsive user-centric design.   The old website was based on Flash, now considered a redundant technology due to its incompatibility across many smartphone and tablet devices.

The new refreshed website is also a powerful marketing tool for Radio Rentals with key features including onsite merchandising, promotional management and email marketing integration.

Says Ryuji: “This website is only the first step to a full online overhaul for Radio Rentals. In the coming weeks we will be releasing the Rentlo (www.rentlo.com.au) website and a full mobile and tablet responsive platform.”

2013 has been a bumper year for Rysen in the retail sector, launching award-winning designs for Bing Lee, Masters and securing new clients including Amcal Max,Sealord, Petuna and Muscle Meals Direct.
