MarcoEychenne_headshot.jpgCouldn’t make the 2013 ADMA Awards in Sydney? If you’re in Melbourne, you’ve got a chance to see and learn about many of the award-winning campaigns and ‘the work that worked’ next week.

Marco Eychenne (left), executive creative director, Lavender and chair of the ADMA Creative Judging Panel, will be this year’s keynote speaker at the annual Victoria Branch’s ADMA Awards showcase.

Says Eychenne: “It’s a pleasure to present in Melbourne given how it was really a year for the local industry to celebrate with McCann Melbourne, GPY&R Melbourne and Leo Burnett Melbourne all taking home the lion’s share of medals.”

Date: Wednesday, 13th November 2013

Time: 6.00pm-9.00pm

Location: Australia Post, 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne

Tickets: ADMA members $35. Non-members $45. Tickets available here.

Eychenne will give his perspective on this year’s awards, talking about the 10 best gold and silver winners, explaining why the judges chose these campaigns, and showing a selection of the work.

Some of the themes he’ll touch on include the power of McCann’s Dumb Ways to Die (which took 10 gold and two silver medals at the awards plus the Grand Prix), the importance of including digital elements in campaigns nowadays and how technology and creativity must work together.

Says Eychenne: “I’ll also be looking at some of the newer, fresher campaigns that haven’t had a lot of exposure and some of the winners in the effectiveness category, especially how some of the most effective campaigns didn’t have to be big budget or well-known brands to win.”

The presentation will be followed by drinks and light snacks, with the opportunity to network with industry colleagues and friends.
