The appointment comes after Adelaide managing director Anne Rodgers announced her retirement earlier this year after 15 years with the agency.

Starcom MediaVest Australia CEO Chris Nolan again thanked Rodgers for her dedication and service to Starcom and described Clemow’s appointment as a coup for the agency.

Clemow was most recently the director, government communications advice in the Government of South Australia’s department of premier and cabinet and has a career spanning 25 years in marketing and advertising including roles with Advertiser Newspapers and TMP Worldwide.

Says Nolan: “Securing Mark to join our leadership team is a coup for our business and is a clear demonstration of our commitment to build our capability in the local market and grow our presence in Adelaide.

“John Sintras and I would like to thank Anne once again for her leadership, commitment and friendship during her time at Starcom and wish her the best for her future endeavours.”

Clemow takes up his new role in January and said he was excited by the prospect of building on the strong foundation it has in the market.

Says Clemow: “Starcom is the market leader in building brands via human experience and I can’t wait to work with the smart and energetic team here to showcase what we can do.”
