Big W appoints retail and digital agency Rhubarb&Custard for new retail project

bigw.jpgSpecialist retail and digital agency Rhubarb&Custard has been awarded part of the Big W business after a competitive 4 way pitch.

Rhubarb&Custard will deliver retail and digital creative services to help lift the brand’s fashion credentials over the next 12 months.

GM of marketing for Big W, Alison Jones, said they were excited by the new appointment and looked forward to big things in 2014.

Says Jones: “We were impressed with the work the Rhubarb&Custard team presented, and we look forward to working with them to achieve our goals.”

Although a young agency, Rhubarb&Custard have been working with leading Australian and International brands since winning the Rebel and Amart Sports accounts in 2011.

Founded by the creative partnership of Helen James and Chris James, the agency also works on projects for PlayStation, Destination NSW, and Unilever. In 2013 they added The Cheesecake Shop and Laubman&Pank to their client list, aswell as picking up projects for PlayStation Europe via Sony Computer Entertainment.

Says James: “It’s been an amazing end to the year for Rhubarb&Custard, and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with the BIG W team. Our guys have worked exceptionally hard and we’re over the moon to be working with another iconic Australian brand and the country’s largest discount department store.”

The appointment is effective immediately.
