Creative technology agency DT has rebooted the wall calendar for its new agency Christmas card.
What ever happened to putting a pumpkin, a puppy and a stirring quote into the meta-blender and turning it into the wall calendar we hate to love? It’s a tough question that not enough people are asking.
Says Brian Vella, managing director of DT: “We live in an online world. Unfortunately, inspirational wall calendars don’t. Outlook does the job fine but don’t you think it’s a little… vanilla?”
So, DT churned that vanilla into Neapolitan. The agency have invested a lot of time, energy and Blend 43 into making an online ode to the calendars of kitsch for their agency Christmas card.
Lucky recipients will be sent an eDM, inviting them to choose between three inspired themes. Users then select which dashing DT team members they want to feature, month by month. The result? A moving tribute to the dated wall calendar, the one you can only find on the back of your Grandma’s toilet door.
