Imagination hires Lyndon Hale as digital CD role and Sandy Madden in EP of screen + content role

Imagination is expanding its digital and content offering thanks to increasing client appetite for bespoke pieces of content.

UK-born creative director Lyndon Hale (left) has joined Imagination’s Sydney office as digital CD and Sandy Madden (far left) has been promoted to the role of executive producer of screen and content.

Hale specialises in digital and integrated marketing solutions to client problems. As a former executive creative director at Bullseye and Amnesia Razorfish, he brings exemplary digital credentials to the table. In his new role Hale will manage creative direction for all digital projects. He is currently working on new briefs from Ford, CommBank, and Telstra.

Says Hale: “Digital is changing the experiential category, I get excited about how digital can transform narrow cast physical experiences into social, interactive experiences and can enhance and extend well beyond the event.”

Says Antony Gowthorp, managing director of Imagination: “Lyndon comes to Imagination with almost two decades of experience working on digital briefs. He is accomplished, innovative and wants to help us push brands on projects fusing digital and physical experiences. We are thrilled to have him onboard.”

Hale has had an illustrious career. A true digital native, his skills span digital creative direction, film and print.

Since starting out in 1988 he has collected a string of awards from B&T, D&AD, New York Festivals, Cannes Cyber Lions, Clio and IAB and been a part of many judging panels in Australia and the UK. Hale brings both design agency and advertising experience to the experiential fold. His large portfolio includes digital work on brands like Qantas, Mars, Coca-Cola, Bayer, Foxtel, LendLease, Lexus, and Lion Nathan.

In her new role as EP, Madden will now manages a team of producers, motion designers, editors and directors on a range of corporate communications, online, large-scale projection and event content.

Madden has fifteen years experience in production, specialising in the integration of a creative brief across television, corporate, online and event screen content. Over the course of her career she has worked on projects in London, Dubai, Shanghai and Sydney for various production houses, broadcasters, event companies and agencies.

Says Madden: “Since joining Imagination our team has grown considerably. I have worked on Telstra and Commonwealth Bank video campaigns, the Ford Go Further Global Mustang Launch, which was streamed live, and The Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review. The Fleet Review included all Opera House and Pylon projections and the Ford Salutes live broadcast streamed through You Tube and Sydney live sites.

“We are currently producing both online and projection content for Sydney New Years Eve

and I am excited about the growth in demand for video content in general. The variety and integration of content across our events and digital clients is increasing, as well as the large amount of large-scale projects.”
