TOBIAS_BLACKWOOD and rebrand.jpgThe Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) has announced that designer Tobias Blackwood has won the ADMA 30Below rebrand competition.

Blackwood, an Adelaide designer who freelances locally and overseas, specialises in branding, emphasising the importance of typography, and also works across advertising and editorial design.

He wins a trip to Melbourne to attend the creative stream of ADMA Data Day in April and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Telstra.

Blackwood’s ‘young and driven’ rebrand was judged the best from 15 entries by ADMA’s 30Below community who voted for their favourites on Facebook.

Says Jodie Sangster, ADMA CEO: “Tobias really understood the brief that the youth arm of ADMA has changed over the last year with conversations happening across many mediums. We loved his rebrand for its originality and the clear links to the 30Below Brand. It’s fresh, young and modern.

“The rebrand takes into account new ADMA positioning with 30Below moving from a ‘young and direct’ philosophy to ‘young and driven.’  This reflects the position ADMA has taken in data-driven marketing overall and the rebrand is sure to appeal to the young marketing professionals we want to attract to 30Below.”

Says Blackwood: “I’m really pleased to have won for two reasons: firstly, as a form of validation in knowing people believe my concept can best represent 30Below. Secondly, to see the concept brought to life. Branding and identity design are particular interests of mine so this success is another step in the right direction. I believe this to be an exciting change for 30Below and I’m equally excited to see the new identity in use.”
