Director Scott Walker joins Film Motel and is set to show short film at 2014 Sydney Film Festival

Untitled.jpgAward-winning filmmaker Scott Walker (left) has joined Film Motel’s directorial roster. It has also been recently announced that Walker’s short film ‘8 Inch Pinch’ has been invited into the 2014 Sydney Film Festival after being a top runner for the Australian Competition gong at the 23rd International Short Film Festival, Flickerfest, 2014.

 

With more than 2,300 entries from Australia and overseas this recognition of his work comes as no surprise.

During his career, Walker has worked in advertising, TV broadcast, fashion and film production. Walker has worked around the globe as an art director, writer, commercials director and regional executive creative director. Agencies include; The Campaign Palace, Clemenger BBDO, DDB UK. Walker has also headed up global pieces of business such as adidas, Philips and Visa, running multi-platform campaigns across various markets.

Walker has won numerous international advertising awards including, Cannes, D&AD, One Show, CLIO, Caples, The MCCA Best Awards, Campaign BIG and AWARD. He’s been a screenwriting finalist at Slamdance and LA film Fest. He has feature films optioned in the UK and Hollywood and has won a prestigious ASTRA for his work in Australian Television.
