Aquila launches Autumn Winter 2014 campaign with BMW Motorrad via We Are Vanguard
Style and exhilaration sets the scene for the Aquila AW14 season titled Modern Man X Machine featuring the newly released BMW R NineT motorbike via We Are Vanguard.
The campaign extends Aquila’s journey of a modern man as he rides his café racer styled BMW R NineT machine in a world that exists between fantasy and reality. Using a distinctive setting and directional styling, Aquila brings the stunning BMW R NineT into an artistic and fashion platform.
The partnership with BMW Motorrad Australia and Aquila engages and deepens the journey of a modern man with both customers.
Says Miles Davis, BMW Motorrad Australia marketing manager: “BMW Motorrad jumped at the opportunity to partner the all new BMW R NineT with Aquila. Aquila is an established brand with amazing style, quality and craftsmanship; this is exactly the same as the BMW R NineT. It is a great chance to showcase this new model in front of a totally new audience.”
Says Deryll Naidoo, We Are Vanguard group founder: “We Are Vanguard Group is excited to have brought together two brands with such a distinctive high level of quality. Our campaign will extend into full digital, social, broadsheet and in-store activity to give both Aquila and BMW Motorrad customers multiple touch points to connect with each other’s brand. Its great having access to such an exclusive bike in the BMW R NineT.”

Brand mashups.
Genius.
Nice idea, Vanguard. Did you get to keep the shoes? What about the bike?
Amazing results! Very current, resolved and stylish. Go team!
Great to see Australian fashion photography, art direction and retouching rival the big internationals. Nice work.
Makes me wish I was rich, single, thin and attractive.
Let’s face it, lower case b, you’ve got a gut. On the bright side, at least you’re taller than lower case a.
hey, I heard that. At least I’m independent. Lower case b can’t do anything by himself. Clingy.
Oooooh super slick!
