D&AD: Yellow Pencil Noms for Droga5, GPY&R, Havas, Leo Burnett, DDB, BMF and Jamshop; Australia ranked #4 behind UK, US and France

Australia has scored 13 Yellow Pencil nominations in all and 23 In-Book, placing us – in terms of Nominations – fourth most awarded country, behind the UK, US and France.

Nominations have been handed to Qantas ‘Stories for Every Journey’ in Direct Mail via Droga5 Australia; Australian Defence Force ‘Air Force FM’ in Direct Mail via George Patterson Y&R Melbourne; Durex ‘Durexperiment Fundawear’ in Innovative Use of Mobile Technology’ via Havas Worldwide Australia; Bundaberg Rum ‘Road to Recovery’ in Direct Integrated Campaigns’ via Leo Burnett, Sydney; Volkswagen ‘Road’ in Radio via DDB Sydney; Lion Tap King ‘The Search’ in Use of Music for Film Advertising via BMF Sydney and The Jodi Lee Foundation ‘What Sh-ts You?‘ in Writing for Advertising via Jamshop, Adelaide.

In the final round of judging Australia has has scored 12 more In-Books, the most handed to Leo Burnett Sydney for Diageo ‘Anti Established‘ and Diageo ‘Comets‘ in Film Advertising Craft, Australian Bureau of Statistics ‘Run That Town‘ in Mobile, Coca-Cola ‘Small World Machines‘ in the White Pencil category and another In-Book for Coca-Cola ‘Small World Machines‘ in Direct.

Other In-Books were handed to Revolver for Schweppes ‘Tumble’ in Film Advertising Craft, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival ‘Discover Something New: Tongue Road’ via Ogilvy Melbourne for Art Direction, Volkswagen ‘Road, Street & Drive’ via DDB Sydney and Make Smoking History’s ‘Breathtaking’ via Gatecrasher Perth in Radio, Random House Australia/The Footpath Library’s ‘Mailbooks For Good’ via BMF in Package Design, Ogilvy Melbourne for ‘Fresh Daily’ in Graphic Design, and GPY&R Melbourne for Defense Force Recruitment ‘The Poster Exam’ in Direct.

The winners will be announced on Thursday, May 22 at a ceremony held in London.
