Last week, OneShift signalled its intentions to further establish its brand in mainstream Australia, appointing Whybin/TBWA Sydney as creative agency.

OneShift marketing director, Simon Porter (left) said he was impressed with Havas Media and eager to begin working with the team.

Says Porter: “We liked Havas Media’s original thinking, and creative approach to our communications challenges. But what really sold them to us, was their like-mindedness. They’re a relatively new player here in Australia, and determined to shake things up. Like us, they’re hungry and eager to drive the business forward and make waves. We can’t wait to get cracking with them.”

Porter said the entire OneShift team was genuinely excited about the year to come.

Says Porter: “OneShift has undergone tremendous expansion in the past 12 months, growing from a startup with ambitious goals and a disruptive business model, to a vital recruitment service used by more than 30,000 businesses Australia-wide.

“We’ve proven the strength of our offering for employers and jobseekers alike, but now we’ve got the marketing firepower, through our partners — Havas Media, Whybin/TBWA, and Click PR to help OneShift explode in 2014.”

Says Mike Wilson, Havas Media CEO: “Like OneShift, we’re a new market entrant, and we want to shake up the status quo. Also like OneShift, we think the traditional approaches are unsuited to the modern landscape, and we intend to be a change agent for our clients.”

OneShift founder and CEO Gen George was named Young Female Entrepreneur of the Year at last year’s global Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and has won a string of awards and recognition for her fast-growing and innovative recruitment platform.

The OneShift business will be led by Ben Sjogren, general manager, Havas Media.
