Smith & Western’s main audio post room is finished and open for business. Having concentrated on providing the industry with top-notch music for the past few years, the boys at Smith & Western are proud to open their doors to the world and invite them in to their newly fitted and furnished state-of-the-art audio post room. This completes the fit-out of all three studios at Smith & Western’s ranch in Surry Hills – a unique free standing house that was once the Constable’s Cottage at the Police Academy.

The new studio will focus on voice-over recording, sound design, SFX track laying, ISDN/Source-Connect, OMF, ADR and final mixing to OP59 broadcast standard and will be manned by well known industry expert, Smith & Western’s gun audio post engineer Ant Smith. In the short time it’s been open, Ant and the studio have already produced some award winning work picking up Gold, Silver AND Bronze statues at the recent Spikes Asia Awards in Singapore as well as several nominations in the upcoming Award Awards in Sydney, all for their work on the VW Spare Parts radio campaign.

Smith & Western (who are Ant Smith, Nick West and Dan Higson collectively) are looking forward to a bumper year in 2014. In the TV world they’ll be working on the return of Ten’s blockbuster drama series Wonderland as well as a brand new “secret” 8-part series for Seven, soon to be announced. In Adland the boys hit the ground running in 2014 with campaigns for Expedia, Optus, Bank West, Scholl, Caltrate, Orlando Wines, Dick Smith, KFC, and Westfield all currently airing nationally.
