Dan Beaumont.jpgAs part of its Sydney office launch and expansion The Royals have announced the appointment of Dan Beaumont as director. Beaumont will join creative director and co founder Nick Cummins, in driving the Sydney office’s development and growth.

After a series of senior positions at GPY&R Melbourne and M&C Saatchi, Beaumont has spent the last five years at The Monkeys as client services director and responsible for driving business development. He was instrumental in helping The Monkeys through a period of extraordinary growth and winning a multitude of awards, both locally and globally, with a vast array of digital, content and integrated campaigns.

Says Beaumont: “I am ready for the next challenge in my career. It’s been fantastic being part of the Monkey’s growth over the last few years and I’ve enjoyed every second, but the opportunity at The Royals is too good to ignore – evident by what they have achieved in such a short timeframe. The fit with the other partners was a natural one, there is an infectious energy about the group that’s hard not to get caught up in. I’m looking forward to joining the team and getting stuck in to it.”

Says Steve O’Farrell, director at The Royals: “The ambitious vision for the Royals when we started was to create a brilliant Regional Agency network with digital at its core. Opening Sydney was a natural next step and getting a super talent in Dan to join will accelerate that growth. Not to mention the fact that we needed a partner with a bit more hair and Dan’s our man there also.”

The Royals were founded in Melbourne in 2008, and have grown to 25 staff opening the Sydney office late in 2013 following their appointment to the Campari Group.

Recent client wins have also included; Jetstar, John West, Emporium Melbourne, George Calombaris’ MADE Group and Cricket Australia.

Other clients include: Coles Liquor, NAB, World Vision and Frank Health Insurance.
