Father Bob has hooked up with the crowd funding site Pozible to help raise funds this Easter to feed the homeless with ‘Father Bob Sings for a Million’ campaign.

Although Father Bob is nearing his 80th birthday, he is a prolific Tweeter and has now embraced a new social trend in crowd-funding creativity to talk to people in a different way and raise funds to feed the homeless.

‘The ‘Bob sings for a Million’ campaign is being run via Pozible and asks people to make a donation in return for a number of ‘rewards’. Anyone can take part in the campaign by suggesting a song for Bob to sing via social media. Simply tweet, Instagram or post on Facebook the song of your choice with the hashtag #songs4bob.’

At the end of the month long campaign, the best song suggestions will be selected and Bob will record them and release an album. A $25 donation will get one of the first copies of the album once it’s released.

Says Father Bob: “At this time of year, we normally surround ourselves with family. My foundation is the family for the unloved and unlovely and we leave no one behind.

“We wanted to try something new to raise some money so they’ve talked me into ‘singing for everyone’s supper’ – I’ve been practising in the shower and I’ve already recorded one song to get people’s attention.

“We hope that people will feel good about helping others this holiday season.”

Father Bob has enlisted the help of his many friends, including those in media and marketing to incentivise people to donate this Easter.
