Katie McCarthy joins the team as the creative director of Naked Sydney and Tristan Graham has been promoted to creative director of Naked Melbourne.

These appointments further reinforce Naked’s creative capabilities and are the result of a restructure of the Australian business.

With a career that spans over 10 years, McCarthy joins Naked from Los Angeles, having worked with agencies that include 72 and Sunny, Martin Agency, Razorfish, Arnold Worldwide and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and clients that include Target, Nike, Bing, Mobil1 and Kmart.

McCarthy’s work has been recognised at shows including Cannes International Festival of Creativity, D&AD and One Show.

Says McCarthy: “Naked is renowned for being a wildly creative, intelligent and forward thinking agency. I couldn’t resist the offer to be a key part of its next chapter and to start working with the clever maverick minds there.”

Graham has passionately worked at Naked for two years where he has been instrumental in shaping award-winning ideas for Art Series Hotels and TAC. Graham began his creative career as a photographer before becoming an art director, switching to copywriter and eventually finding a home somewhere in-between. He has created digital, integrated and NPD-led ideas for clients including Art Series Hotels, TAC, Renault, Vodafone, L’Oréal and the Australian Government.

Graham’s work has been recognised at Cannes Festival of Creativity, WARC Innovation prize, Effies, Spikes, Sirens and most recently, he received one of only eight Cannes Chimeras awarded globally in 2014.

Says Graham: “Naked attracts people and brands that are passionate about creating genuine culture change. In the last six months we’ve found ourselves developing ideas with organisations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, forming partnerships with clients like SBS. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a part of the Naked family.”

Says Carl Ratcliff, CEO of Naked Australia: “I am delighted with these appointments. Katie and Tristan are a creative force that represents the future of Naked. They are the next generation of creative leaders who understand the bigger picture of communications and are able to switch on brilliant and powerful concepts that quickly harness the speed of today’s culture. Working with the wider Naked team, they will be tasked with ensuring we create enduring, world-best ideas that serve the needs of clients today.”
