The Glue Society is a seven-man collective of directors and installation artists; at biscuit the main face of the group for commercial direction will be Gary Freedman. The Glue Society also includes Jonathan Kneebone, Matt Devine, James Dive, Pete Baker, Luke Crethar and Paul Bruty, all of whom contribute to the creative collective’s output.

The Glue Society was ranked the second most-awarded director of 2012 by the Gunn Report, and each member of the collective specialises in a unique craft to produce a range of projects from sculptural installations to commercials and long-form entertainment.

Under The Glue Society banner, Freedman has directed spots for top international brands including Nike, Axe, Burger King and more, garnering awards from every major advertising competition throughout his career. His “Dip Desperado” for Doritos earned top honors from Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clios, The One Show, AICP and more; “Warren” for Virgin Mobile, “March of the Emperors” for Canal+ and “The Regulars” for VB have also earned top accolades. Freedman excels in cinematic visuals and subtle exploration of the motivations and vulnerabilities of his characters. He was born and educated in London, launched his directorial career in Sydney, and now resides and works in New York City – his globe-trotting history enhancing his ability to make any character feel universally relatable.

Prior to joining biscuit, The Glue Society was repped by Park Pictures in the U.S. The Glue Society is currently also repped by Revolver/Will O’Rourke in Australia, Independent in the U.K., and Wanda in France.
