Tourism Australia teams with BA to launch ‘Australia has everything. Except you.’ campaign via Ogilvy London and Australia’s Rapid Films
Tourism Australia and British Airways, via OgilvyOne London and Australian production company Rapid Films, have teamed to inspire reunions between the thousands of Brits living in Australia and their family and friends back in the UK.
Esme loves almost everything about living in Australia, from walking to school along the beach to exploring the national parks. Watch to find out the one thing that’s missing from her amazing life.
After you’ve seen Esme’s film, take a look at what happened when two very special people saw it in the UK.

Oh how delightful! Tourism Australian spending taxpayer’s money on an ad campaign for an airline that has ONE, repeat, ONE flight to ONE city in Australia. Meanwhile your average UK visitor will continue to use Middle Eastern airlines who not only are cheaper and have better service, they fly with one stop from up to five UK destinations to up to five Aussie destinations
And then give them free tickets…how many times will they have to do this to get a few more British to visit, besides wouldn’t a family visit already be embedded in their hearts and minds?
That’s my prediction.
I think it is great. Well done Alex and Jono!
And I’m guessing they flew the agency and a UK team out to shoot this mediocre dross…
You guys are right. Forget about the coverage this campaign is getting on travel, consumer and trade sites. Forget about the Sydney – London route being a cash cow the size of the moon (and that with code-shares BA covers all the major Oz cities). Forget that they’re also packaging retail deals with the campaign. What BA should have done is either give up market share ever so politely, or produce a nice big style TVC with lips and eyes. Smart thinking, now back to your port and cigars.
Nicely done. Credits?
nice vid really.
will make a lot of mums back in the UK a bit teary eyed i bet!

Promotional idea on the back of this piece:
Name the single Sydney suburb the entire film (representing al of Australia) was shot in…
@2026, Starts in Manly, Sydney Harbour, Middle Head and Bondi? Are these all Bondi?
Beautifully shot
Makes me so so so homesick!!!
