sunbeam-logosmall.jpgThe Works has been appointed to manage advertising duties for Sunbeam’s entire portfolio of appliances taking over from Droga5 Australia.

Sunbeam is an iconic Australian owned company that specialises in making appliances that combine cutting-edge innovation and intelligent design. For almost 100 years it has been making life easier for Australians with its extensive range of food preparation, cooking, beverage, personal care and other products.

The Works will handle strategy, creative, digital and social media across the Sunbeam range, with work already underway.

Says John Turnbull, general manager, marketing at Sunbeam: “We wanted an agency partner that could deliver effective campaigns across our product portfolio and were impressed with The Works’ work.”

Says Kevin Macmillan, creative partner and founder at The Works: “We’ve been talking to the guys at Sunbeam for a while now and we’re looking forward to helping them sell as much possible. It’s a brand that resonates with many Australians and its products are excellent. It’s always fun working on things that your family uses on a daily basis.”

Match Media was appointed to handle $4 million media account including all online and offline strategy, planning and buying including search and analytics.

The Sunbeam win is the latest high profile piece of new business to join The Works this year, following Tetley, Tabcorp-owned Keno and Michelle Bridges with further announcement to be made in due course.
