Linda.jpgDubsat has today announced that as part of its continued growth strategy, Linda Baker (left) has fully acquired its leading closed captioning, audio description and subtitling service, The SubStation. Baker, along with Dubsat CEO Grant Schuetrumpf, launched The SubStation in 2008.

The SubStation’s clients include Australia’s top advertising agencies, entertainment distributors and broadcast channels, along with a wide variety of government agencies and some of the largest corporations in the country.

Over the last six years The SubStation has been known for its professionalism, speed, knowledge and acute attention to detail boasting a team of some of the most experienced captioners and audio describers in the industry.

Says Grant Schuetrumpf, Dubsat CEO: “From humble beginnings in 2008, we have grown The SubStation into a substantial and successful business. As Dubsat continues on its path to be a leading international cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company in the advertising and entertainment industries, we realised it would be best if The SubStation continue its success independently. When Linda came to us with the offer of a management buyout, it was the perfect move for both businesses.”

Says Baker: “Having been part of successfully growing The SubStation since its launch and with Dubsat’s clear vision for its future, now is a great time for both businesses to work independently. Our team remains the same and in particular our Deafness Forum Award-winning Javier Arriaga will continue in his role as The SubStation’s head of production.

“The SubStation will continue to go from strength to strength in the advertising and entertainment markets whilst still maintaining a close relationship and preferred service arrangement with Dubsat. What we’ve created here is a win-win situation for all concerned. This means each company will focus on its core skills and objectives, leading to better growth in the future.”
