MarcoEychenne_headshot.jpgCouldn’t make the 2013 ADMA Awards in Sydney? No worries. If you’re in Adelaide you’ve got a chance to see and learn about many of the award-winning campaigns by heading to Distill on Thursday 29 May from 6.00pm-9.00pm.

The annual showcase is organised by the ADMA South Australia Branch.

Marco Eychenne (left) executive creative director, Lavender and chair of the 2013 ADMA Creative Judging Panel, will be the guest speaker. He will give his perspective on last year’s awards, discuss why the judges chose and awarded the campaigns of 2013, and show a selection of the best work.

Tickets: ADMA members $25 and non-members $35. Distill is located at 286 Rundle Street, Adelaide.

Says Eychenne: “It’s a pleasure to present in Adelaide because many marketers here wouldn’t get a chance to come to the Sydney awards so it’s good to bring the work to them.”

Some of the themes he’ll touch on include the power of McCann’s Dumb Ways to Die (which took 10 gold and two silver medals at the awards plus the Grand Prix), the importance of including digital elements in campaigns today and how technology and creativity must work together.

Says Eychenne: “I’ll also be looking at some of the newer, fresher campaigns that haven’t had a lot of exposure and some of the winners in the effectiveness category, especially how some of the most effective campaigns didn’t have to be big budget or well-known brands to win.”

Eychenne is one of the leading direct and interactive creative directors in Australia today. His campaigns have been highly rated by the WON Report which tallies world-wide awards.

The presentation will be followed by drinks and light snacks, with the opportunity to network with industry colleagues and friends.
