Lynn Clift.jpgSydney-based creative agency Workshop Australia has appointed Lynn Clift as the agency’s new strategic planning director to work on their growing national and international clients.

Previously a lead strategist at Whybin\TBWA where she worked on iconic Aussie retailer David Jones, Clift replaces Belinda Elworthy who recently left the agency.

Says Jamie Kwong, Workshop CEO: “This is a key position for us and we searched the market extensively before finding Lynn. Putting someone of Lynn’s calibre and good nature in charge of strategy across the agency will further galvanise our delivery and performance across all channels and positively impact our culture.”

The winner of many awards for advertising effectiveness, Clift worked at Publicis Mojo prior to Whybin\TBWA. At Mojo she headed up strategy for the agency’s Nestle portfolio. She is also a former senior strategist for Clemenger BBDO where she worked on FMCG and automotive accounts.

Clift’s first job was at The Campaign Palace in Melbourne working on ANZ Bank and AFL. She later joined Saatchi & Saatchi London where she became lead planner on Olay Cosmetics UK before moving back to Australia with Saatchis.

Says Clift: “I have been hugely impressed with the management style, client relationships and creative culture that makes Workshop tick. The agency lives up to its name – a genuinely collaborative team empowered with a ‘workshop’ ethos: Rigour, craft and imagination – working together and constructively challenging each other to build optimal brand strategies. Everyone has a valued voice here, and it’s making a powerful difference to what we are achieving.
