WWF asks Aussies to don a onesie to raise funds for endangered species via Bondi Advertising

Screen Shot 2014-05-19 at 12.21.40 pm.jpgWWF-Australia has launched a multifaceted advertising, social media and public relations campaign for the inaugural Wild Onesie Week via Bondi Advertising, Stellar Concepts and Starcom.

The initiative will see animal lovers and everyday Australians encourage colleagues, family and friends to sponsor them to dress for a day in a WWF limited edition panda onesie for Wild Onesie Week, which runs Monday 2nd June to Friday 6th June 2014 (including World Environment Day on June 5th).

Screen Shot 2014-05-19 at 12.22.03 pm.jpgThe cheeky and fun campaign creative sees onesie-d up everyday heroes stand out from the crowd in cafes, bus shelters and even partaking in a spot of paddle boarding – inspiring those who don’t mind a bit of onesie action to get involved with Wild Onesie Week.

The nationwide WWF initiative aims to inspire Australians to raise awareness of endangered species and the issues affecting them while raising funds, so WWF-Australia can continue its critical work of preserving species including pandas, pygmy elephants, orang-utans, great hammerhead sharks, tigers and loggerhead turtles.

Says Dermot O’Gorman, WWF-Australia CEO: “Wild Onesie Week is about embracing your sense of fun, while helping to protect endangered species in Australia and across the world. We’re passionate about inspiring communities to come together and show their personal commitment to the conservation of the environment and ultimately the lives of endangered species, whether it’s at home, in the work place or even on the couch.”
