Fed Uni asks students to follow their lost passion in new mid-year campaign via Cubed Comms

Mid-year Fed Uni.jpgFederation University Australia has launched its latest campaign for mid-year via Cubed Communications. The new campaign asks students to remember their childhood passion and urges them that it’s not too late to follow it.

The TVC is a continuation of the university’s “Success is a personal journey – that starts with your passion” series, which followed students on their journey to success – from childhood through to adulthood. This time however, our hero has taken a detour, and instead of following her dream, she has ended up somewhere she didn’t want to be.

Says Bruce Williams, creative director at Cubed: “As part of our campaign, this ad is all about highlighting that exact moment of rediscovery. We hope the emotion of the ad helps individuals to try something different and start their journey to success at FedUni.”

Says Phillip Crone, marketing manager at FedUni, believes that mid-year is a perfect time for people to reignite that passion.

Says Crone: “Mid-year is a time for people who may have lost their way to find it again. We find most mid-year enrolments come from those who aren’t enjoying their work or have the sudden realisation that they’re in a profession they don’t want to be in. For a lot of people, they just don’t know what to do about it.”

Mike Chuter, founding partner at Cubed, hopes the emotional ad hits the right chord for people who are a bit unsure about their next steps.

Says Chuter: “It’s never too late to start what you want to do. Often things come up and get in the way of what we really want to do, but this concept hopefully encourages people to take the plunge and enrol in something that really excites them. And they won’t be kept waiting, with a 48-hour application turn around, they’ll be able to get six months ahead in just two days.”

The campaign carries across to radio, print, social, online and transit, where the journey takes a more rational turn, showcasing the more logical reasons why FedUni is the perfect choice for mid-year – including the 5- stars for teaching quality and their personal approach to learning.

The campaign will go live on the 6th July and features radio, online, social, print, television and bus executions.
