McCann Australia has appointed highly experienced creative Andrew North (far left) to its creative ranks as senior writer at McCann Melbourne.

North has spent over 20 years as a senior creative at many of Australia’s top agencies in both Melbourne and Sydney, including Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, The Campaign Palace, Whybin TBWA and M&C Saatchi.

North has picked up many international and local awards throughout his career, including Cannes Lions, London International, Kinsale, AWARD, MADC and Caxtons.

Says Pat Baron (above, right), newly appointed Melbourne ECD: “Andrew’s appointment further bolsters McCann’s creative firepower as we continue to push our creative product. He brings a unique combination of talent and experience and we couldn’t be happier he’s joining the team.”

Says North: “When the opportunity to work at McCann presented itself, I jumped at it. There’s a great group of people there, with incredibly high creative standards, so I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

McCann Australia was the most awarded agency in the world in 2013 and the third most awarded agency in digital, while Advertising Age magazine’s The Awards Report 2013 named McCann Australia ECD John Mescall and McCann Melbourne ECD Pat Baron as the two highest-ranked creatives in the global advertising industry.
