Samsung Electronics Australia launches ‘Made for Australia’ campaign via Leo Burnett Sydney

Samsung Electronics Australia has launched its ‘Made for Australia’ above the line campaign via Leo Burnett Sydney, for its Galaxy S5 smartphone and Gear range of wearable devices.

The campaign creative highlights the features of the products that are relevant and useful to the everyday lifestyle of Australians including water and dust resistance, heart rate monitor and fitness tracking, Ultra Power Saving Mode and mobile tap-and-pay functionality.

Says Arno Lenior, chief marketing officer, Samsung Electronics Australia: “The insight for our Made for Australia campaign is that few countries live a vibrant lifestyle better than Australia.  In our everyday life, we can do what many others can’t – whether we’re running along our coastline, jumping into the ocean, dancing at an outdoor music festival or going on an outback adventure – we can live life to the fullest in this country.

“The innovation of the Galaxy S5 is not just about what you do on the phone, it’s about what you do with it while enjoying Australia’s vibrant lifestyle.  To bring this to life, the Australian variant of the Galaxy S5 has been localised with features that include Australian specific content and software as well as embedded technology to enable mobile tap and pay.”

The TVC and campaign imagery was shot at locations around Australia including Alice Springs, Melbourne CBD, Harry’s Café De Wheels Woolloomooloo, Groovin the Moo Festival in Bendigo and Wattamolla picnic area in the Royal National Park.

The campaign will include TV, cinema and outdoor executions and is supported by digital and social media. The TVC will include 60, 30 and 15 second edits.
