spotxchange-logo.jpgSpotXchange, the trusted platform for video advertising has today announced it has added new tools for VPAID 2.0 support in HTML 5 environments across mobile and connected devices.

SpotXchange’s new VPAID 2.0 tools will provide advertisers with more control over the display experience of their videos campaigns, helping improve video ad supply liquidity by enabling video publishers to easily accept video ads from programmatic buyers, agency ad servers, and networks.

VPAID 2.0 is an IAB standard that gives advertisers the ability to run one campaign across multiple video players and devices without the need for creating different campaigns and creatives for each type of device. SpotXchange’s VPAID 2.0 compliant video tools allow for a more diverse and interactive set of video advertising in HTML 5 environments across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices where Adobe Flash is not enabled or desired. These tools are immediately available for SpotXchange publishers and advertisers.

Publishers will be empowered to increase CPMs and maximise yields by accepting premium interactive campaigns from advertisers that can be enabled on desktop and mobile inventory while using common frameworks for ad serving and reporting. VPAID 2.0 compliant publishers should expect to sell more in-stream video inventory as advertisers migrate to the standard. Video advertisers can take advantage of better targeting in HTML 5 environments, while decreasing cost of creative production through the use of these standardised technology frameworks. SpotXchange will help advertisers to reach wider audiences by working with top video publishers to support the new tools.

Says Mike Shehan, CEO of SpotXchange: “Mobile is set to be the next big growth area for programmatic video advertising as consumers increasingly rely on mobile devices for their content needs. Adhering to industry standards that make ad delivery to all devices more seamless is a critical step in ensuring our customers can keep pace with device proliferation. We’re excited to announce support for HTML 5 and will continue to look for ways to help our customers achieve success in the mobile arena.”

SpotXchange’s cross-platform solutions allow publishers to manage direct sold, network, and programmatic direct deals in public or private marketplaces, while eliminating latency issues that cause lost revenue. Additionally, SpotXchange provides real-time yield optimisation capabilities across all screens, providing critical insights for publishers balancing directly sold advertiser campaigns along with non-guaranteed demand from ad networks, DSPs and exchanges.
