The new office, located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, will manage broadcast distribution China wide and will be led by CEO Christine Sterk (left) who established AOT, a successful advertising business in Malaysia some 15 years ago.

Adstream Asia is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and established its Hong Kong office in 2012. The new Shenzhen office is Adstream’s 40th since the company was founded in Sydney in 2001.

Says Peter Miller, Adstream Asia director: “We are excited to have established our operation in Shenzhen with its vibrant economy. We have developed excellent partnerships and can deliver TVC’s to China’s broadcasters within 24 hours, very efficiently and reliably. Many of our international agency customers, particularly those in Europe, have been asking us to launch into China, so now we can meet their needs swiftly. The Shenzhen office is supported by our Hong Kong operation.”

China is a complex TVC distribution market where ad agencies widely rely on tape and thumbnail delivery to broadcasters. Adstream is looking to work with broadcasters in China – as it has done in many markets around the world – towards speeding this process, and bringing transparency and real time reporting.
