Command Welfare Trust unveils new community service spot via Network Ten division Generate

Screen Shot 2014-07-31 at 7.36.06 am.jpgCommand Welfare Trust has launched a new community service spot created by Network Ten's premium creative solutions, brand partnerships and creative services division, Generate.

The ad was created by Generate's Michael Stanford and others, directed by Dave Denneen and produced by Anna Fawcett from Filmgraphics Entertainment.

The Trust supports initial emergency funding and then the long-term financial requirements of the families of Special Operations Command personnel who are killed or seriously injured.
Says Major Steve Pilmore OAM RFD (Ret'd), trust executive officer, Commando Welfare Trust: "There are two measures I suppose for gauging the success of such a project and I suppose the first is how it is seen by the audience. I can tell you I have had so many comments about the CSA from viewers all over Australia as to how "effective, emotional, different, brilliant, haunting," as well as "just plain marvellous".

"The second measure would be I guess did it work? Well, I can just about plot the timing of each airing as the donations via our website jumped remarkably as did the amount of each donation."

The ad runs on Network Ten until the end of September.
Says Matt McGrath, Network Ten chief brand officer: "This was an important cause we felt deserved our support, and its activities needed to be brought home literally to all Australians.
"As a result, some of Australia's best film production people volunteered to create this amazing quality production at no cost to the client. It was brilliant to see the goodwill towards this cause supporting our Armed Forces."
