Curious, Walt Disney, Partizan and Life After Pi creators to present at A-List Awards in Hollywood

Pete_Grasse.jpgThe A-List Hollywood Awards has revealed its line-up for the 2014 Film Advertising Craft Awards in Los Angeles on 29th July 2014 which includes Curious Film president Peter Grasse (left).

Sessions will be presented by Walt Disney Animation & Interactive Studios, Grasse, president at Curious, Partizan, and Life After Pi creators Scott Leberecht and Christina Lee Storm.

Walt Disney will showcase 'The Tunes Behind the Toons'; Partizan is presenting a Short Film & Music Video Showcase; and Grasse, will present a session titled 'Technology & Film: An Antipodean View of our Future as Filmmakers' that examines the dangers of our industry's topical obsession with applied technology.
The conference will wrap up with a Life After Pi screening and panel discussion.

Says Grasse: "In the face of technology, true craft in film is more important than ever. I'll show Antipodean examples of both innovation and restraint, which support my philosophy for making the most of our opportunities as commercial storytellers."

After winning two Golds and a Silver Lion in Film Craft last month with Clemenger BBDO Wellington, Curious was Australasia's most awarded production company at Cannes in 2014.

Grasse was also part of the ADFEST 2014 line-up, presenting a session called 'The Dividends of Diversification' on 7th March 2014.

Curious should also have been listed for their work on the highly awarded skype campaign. They don't rep those guys anymore but it's good work and they produced all the NZ content.
