timm.jpgRenowned editor Tim Mauger has joined the growing stable of cutters at The Butchery – Melbourne and Sydney.

Mauger began his editing journey cutting music clips for the MTV generation in New Zealand and was promptly awarded with a New Zealand Music Award. He was then swallowed up into the post production world before emerging to rediscover editing around the turn of the millennium.  He quickly gained a client base in the New Zealand freelance world teaming up with emerging direction talent such as Nathan Price, Adam Stevens and Noah Marshall.

After collecting a silver for editing at the 2007 London International Awards and two gold Axis Editing Awards it was inevitable that Tim looked across the Tasman for more directors to collaborate with. In recent years he has worked with the likes of Hamish Rothwell and Nick Ball amongst others. Dividing his time between New Zealand, Australia and Los Angeles satisfies his thirst for creativity.

Says Jack Hutchings, editor, The Butchery: “Tim’s multi award winning work speaks for itself and we’re thrilled he’s joining our amazing team.”

In further Butchery news, co-owner Rohan Zerna has relocated to Sydney.

Says Zerna: “The Butchery opened cutting rooms in Woolloomooloo more than six months ago and we love it here. With the office now buzzing and a growing number of editors working in the space, the time was right to set up home in Sydney.”
