PF15_Pure[142].jpgPause Fest, Australia’s Digital Innovation festival is opening the festival’s programming up for submissions for the first time in four years of its operation. Pause is set to ignite Melbourne again from the 9th-15th of February 2015.

Dubbed as ‘The Australian answer to SXSW’, Pause will return to Federation Square in late Summer for another massive week of contagious ideas presented by some of the biggest names in advertising, technology and startups.

For more information on each selected submissions category, please visit: http://www.pausefest.com.au/eoi/.

Pause Fest’s founder, George Hedon describes next year’s festival as the most important event on the calendar for those interested in the future of digital and creativity.

Says Hedon: “Pause has come a long way and we are excited to showcase the best examples of digital work and culture from Australia and all over the world. The Melbourne startup scene is exploding at the moment and the best days are yet to come.

“We have a different curation theme each year, and in 2015, the Pause theme is ‘Pure’. It’s easy to get caught up in the rapid changes in technology, but this will be an opportunity for the digital and creative communities to focus on the simple – yet incredibly powerful – ideas that will change the world.

“Australia is lightyears behind in many ways, but we still produce some extraordinary work. We aim to build a more robust and valuable digital ecosystem by presenting the best local produce alongside some of the most innovative and creative minds from all over the world.”

Applications are now open for keynote speakers, partner organisations and creative collaborators. There are a range of ways to get involved with Pause, such as hosting satellite events, exhibiting interactive content, sponsoring categories or even joining Australia’s largest Startup Expo.

Please consider the following areas of focus and theme of ‘Pure’ when submitting your presentation concepts.

·    World in Motion (Animation, VFX, motion)

·    Web for Good (Social good)

·    Masters of the Industry (Any industry)

·    Wearables + DigiLife (Health, fitness, music, home)

·    Everything is Mobile (All portables)
