Leo and Jo.jpgThe Works continues to attract senior talent following a series of new business wins with former G2 creative director Leo Bajzert (left) joining as creative lead and Host group account director Joanna Gray (right) starting in the newly created role of head of project management.

Bajzert joins The Works after a period of freelancing and prior to that as creative director at global brand activation agency G2. He has also worked at Euro RSCG KLP in London as well as Wunderman and George Patterson Bates in Sydney and is experienced in direct, digital, shopper marketing and sales promotion on brands including Procter & Gamble, Ikea, Vodafone, Bankwest and Ford.

At Host, Gray headed up Tourism WA, Campari Group, BT Financial and the NBN during her more than two years at the agency. She will take charge of a number of clients at The Works in addition to managing the team of creative project managers and leaders.

The role has been newly created following a series of new business wins over the past 12 months including Sunbeam, Keno, Tetley and NRMA Group.

Gray has over 12 years experience gained at some of New Zealand’s most regarded agencies including Colenso BBDO. She has extensive experience in big brand, digital and social and was group account director at creative hotshop Josh& Jamie which was sold to STW’s Assignment Group in 2011.

The new appointments follow the addition of Andy Pilkington as creative strategy director in February this year.

Says Kevin Macmillan creative partner and co-founder of The Works: “We’re an ambitious agency looking for ambitious talent and Leo and Jo are definitely that. They are experienced professionals that have both worked at big agencies delivering for their clients and will be great additions to The Works as we continue to grow.”
