Window director Todd Barry shoots new film + photography for Nike US + NBA’s Kevin Durant

3.jpgOn the strength of his Red Bull and Bonds spots, Nike US commissioned Window’s Todd Barry to shoot film and photography of Kevin Durant, the NBA’s MVP (Most Valuable Player) for the launch of his and Nike’s new signature KD shoe.

While no stranger to working with celebrities and the inherent restrictions their handlers impose, Barry said KD couldn’t have been easier, more cooperative or obliging.

Says Barry: “What impressed me the most was his collaborative approach. He knew what he did best and accorded me the same respect. That understood, he’d make suggestions and then adapt them for my shot. He was the dream subject and a seriously nice guy to boot. No pun intended.”

As well as being the 2014 MVP, Durant’s new model looks like passing LeBron James for sales of their respective shoes and moving in on the legendary Air Jordan.

The spot will be airing nationally and on outdoor LCDs and in North America, and on all social media internationally as will photography and editorial.
