Golden Chain is Australia’s largest motel group, with hundreds of locations around the country as well as in New Zealand, Bali, and Vanuatu and they are looking to refresh their brand across all marketing touch points.

Says Grant Goodall, general manager, Golden Chain: “We loved Bloke’s insightful approach to the creative. They have a vision that complements our brand and we are looking forward to a great partnership over the coming years.”

This is the first time a Sydney based agency has been appointed, having recently moved its marketing offices from Ballina in Northern NSW to Ultimo, Sydney.

Says Mike O’Rourke, creative partner, Bloke: “We are immensely excited about this engagement. As a kid, I spent many a school holiday in Golden Chain motels, so it brings back a lot of fond memories for me. And it’s this ingrained emotional attachment we will be looking to bring out through our ongoing communications.”

Bloke is a full service creative agency with a creative philosophy of creating ‘Deceptively Simple Ideas’. Bloke has worked on a range of renowned brands including Australian National Maritime Museum, ADT Security, McGrath Estate Agents, and Tsingtao Brewery.
