Match Media beefs up with new additions Richard Chataway, Rachida Murray and Tim Newman

Tim Rachida and Richard.jpgMatch Media continues its run of dynamic growth. Over the last few years the agency has evolved through organic growth and its continued success with new business. Match’s service offering has expanded to become a full service media agency, and earlier this year the agency nabbed media veteran Pat Crowley to take on the role of operations director.

Continuing its desire to hire the best the industry has to offer and produce outstanding work for its clients, the agency’s focus is also on meeting the rising standards expected by clients through a deeper understanding of strategy, search and social. To this end Match Media has today announced three new directors to cultivate these services.

James Simmons, director/partner at Match Media is delighted to welcome the new team. 

Says Simmons: “We are constantly on the lookout for top talent and these three definitely fit that bill. They are incredibly talented and experienced practioneers, all with deep areas of expertise and we are excited about what they can bring to our clients. These hires have come off the back of both strong new business but also extending our remit and services across current clients.”

Richard Chataway (right) has been hired as strategy director. Previously director, behaviour change strategy at UM, Chataway has extensive public and private sector experience, with a track record of using communications to deliver successful behaviour change outcomes. Prior to UM he spent 2 years with the Central Office of Communication in Communciations Planning and before that was media director at PHD. 

Says Chataway: “It’s great to be working with Match Media, a team who are enthusiastically embracing the latest thinking in consumer behaviour change and I am really looking forward to using my experience in this area.”

Rachida Murray (middle) is Match Media’s new search director and joins from Ikon Communications where she spent the last 2 years as search account director. Before that she was with OMD as search account manager, and previously worked in the UK as search account manager with Arena. A self-confessed search and digital addict, Murray is looking to push the boundaries and try new things.

Says Murray: “I chose Match because I see this as a huge opportunity to develop and scale the current Biddable Media offering, as well as new product development across a wide range of clients.”

Tim Newman (left) joins Match as social director.  He’s a highly qualified social media specialist and digital marketer with proven agency and client side experience. Newman worked with Telstra New Zealand as the head of digital marketing and social media. He established and promoted social media best practice at all levels of TelstraClear and worked with channel marketers, publicity and other departments to implement strategies. He was a director of SeeDomains and social media director with PHDiq – a division of PHD network.

Says Newman: “Social Media is a serious component of any brand and their marketing efforts and I am looking forward to bringing an enthusiastic strategic approach to this growing area.”
