As the social partner for NGEN, UN LTD aligned the NGEN category to one of its charities – Batyr. Entrants were asked to respond to a brief around the charity that believes in the power of positive stories to change lives. Batyr’s vision is of an Australia where young people engage in positive conversations about mental health and are empowered to seek out help when needed. Batyr’s mission is to engage, educate and empower young people to speak out about mental health issues. To foster an environment where seeking help and talking about mental health is not only accepted but encouraged and supported.

All entry fees for the NGEN category will be donated to Batyr after the Awards.

Says Sophie Madden, MFA CEO: “The standard of entries was outstanding and a great demonstration of the amazing talent in our industry and their ability to tackle business problems. Congratulations to all the finalists.”

The NGEN category finalists are:

    • Theresa Lord & Edward Weston, M2M, Taking the Elephant out of the Room

    • John Dawson & Mark Golafshan, Mindshare, The Missing Slice

    • Jack Smyth & Millie Di Maio, Slingshot, Batyr: Listen Before You Speak

    • Christopher Colter & Dhini Devendran, UM, #BehindtheMask
