Spikes Asia: Australian agencies score metal in Innovation, Integrated, Digital, Mobile, PR, Promo & Activation, Healthcare, Film and Film Craft

Buoy_Land web.jpgAustralian agencies scored metal in various categories as the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity in Singapore concluded tonight with the glittering Spikes Asia awards presentation.

Innovation: M&C Saatchi, Sydney won the inaugural Grand Prix – scoring for Optus ‘Clever Buoys’ – the world’s first shark detecting ocean buoy.

Integrated: There was only one Gold Spike awarded, going to DDB Group Melbourne for RSL ‘Minute of Silence’. Leo Burnett Sydney scored the only Silver Spike awarded, for Samsung S_Drive.

MOS_TVSTILL01-thumb-400x164-148754.jpgMobile: UDKU Sydney won two Gold Spikes (User experience & Use of technology) and Silver (Mobile Applications) for Guide Dogs Association of Singapore ‘GuideDots’ and DDB Group Melbourne won a Gold Spike for RSL ‘Minute of Silence’. VML Sydney won two Silver Spikes for Rip Curl GPS.

Promo & Activation: Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won a Gold Spike, one of only four awarded, won for Melbourne Remote Control Tourist. Australia won eight of the 20 Silver Spikes awarded.

gaytm-6-650x450.jpgPR: Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne and Eleven PR, Sydney won Gold for ANZ ‘GAYTMs’, one of only five Golds awarded. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Propeller Melbourne won Silver for Snickers ‘Aussie Builders’; and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Magnum PR Sydney won Silver for Drinkwise ‘How to drink properly’.

Digital: Only three Gold Spikes were presented. Australia won for out of the 10 Silver Spikes awarded: Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won two Silver Spikes for Melbourne Remote Control Tourist; DDB Melbourne won for PZ Cussons ‘Radiant Return’; and VML Sydney won for Rip Curl GPS.

Film: Clemenger BBDO, Brisbane won a Silver Spike for its Nimble ‘Smart Little Loans’ campaign and JWT Sydney won a Silver Spike for Cancer Council ‘I touch myself project’.

Film Craft: Exit Films Melbourne won a Gold Spike for Samsung ‘Every day is day one’, one of only five Golds awarded. Australia won eight Silver Spikes on the 19 awarded.

Healthcare: McCann Health, Sydney won two Gold Spikes of the seven awarded, both for Simponi. JWT Sydney won a Silver Spike for the Ban-Lice campaign and Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney won Silver for OPSM ‘Penny the Pirate’.
